The Nook is Make Ready Market’s intimate indoor event space. A favorite for small gatherings in San Antonio’s River North District, The Nook is a compact, character-driven room that offers something no hotel conference room or generic banquet hall can: a genuine sense of place.

This space seats up to 20 guests and is ideal for small team meetings, client dinners, focused workshops, and personal celebrations where connection and conversation matter more than square footage. The Nook does not include a TV, making it especially well-suited for groups who want fewer distractions and a more focused atmosphere.

The Nook is an indoor event space within the Make Ready Market food hall. Key details for planning your event are listed below:
Seated capacity is up to 20 guests. An optional add-on of approximately 36 additional seats behind Ize Box is available, bringing the total seated capacity to approximately 56 guests.
No TV is available in this space.
Weekday pricing (Monday through Thursday) is $150 plus a 3.75% booking fee. Weekend pricing (Friday through Sunday) is $200 plus a 3.75% booking fee. Fees may vary based on group size and configuration.

Groups needing additional space can add approximately 36 seats behind Ize Box for an additional $200, making The Nook a scalable option that grows with your guest list.

Food and Beverage at Your Event

All of our food and beverage options are provided by Make Ready Market’s independently owned local vendors. Guests booking The Nook can choose from four ordering options.

Direct Catering is managed directly with a vendor for a streamlined, single-tab experience. Prepaid Tokens ($25 each) are redeemable for preset menu items and include tax and tip. Individual Tabs let each guest order and pay on their own. Group Wristband Tabs allow the host to track and settle all vendor tabs at the close of the event.
